On my recent trip to Las Vegas I received an enticing twitter invite from ‘The Cupcake Girls’ to come to a VIP suite at The Hardrock hotel & eat cupcakes & enjoy a variety of services for FREE. They had me at cupcakes…but there were also professionals available to do massage, hair, make-up, nails, etc.

I figured there must be a catch, but no! I even offered tips to the women who massaged me & did my make up, but they refused. It was a completely free service. WHY?

Here’s what their website says:

“For women working in the adult entertainment industry, non-judgmental support, consistent caring, and community resources are seldom, if ever, provided. In 2009, after a trip to Las Vegas opened our eyes to the needs of these women, we started knocking on doors of strip clubs with little more to offer than love and a box of cupcakes. Much to our surprise and delight we were not only invited in, we were invited back, and today we offer our unique brand of caring and support to women working in strip clubs in Las Vegas and Portland, and brothels in Nevada.”

So, this is an organization that supports women in the adult industry. Very cool.

Meggerz & I went twice during the week & enjoyed amazing, professional massages & professional make up application. We ate (they had lots of food, not just yummy cupcakes!) & chatted with interesting women. We were even given grab bags at the end with free Mac make-up & other great stuff!

Drama-Lama-Ding-Dong

Stalkers, crazy guys, cattiness & drama-making competitors are a part of this business. Most women in the industry have at least a couple stories of guys or girls causing unnecessary stress in one way or another. I’ve considered myself lucky to have gotten away relatively unscathed. In fact, I have enjoyed an overwhelming amount of support from my peers in the industry & guys have been harmless.

Until today.

It came to my attention that someone is specifically trying to cause problems for me. I won’t go into detail as this blog post is directed to that person & they already know what they’re doing. I know that 99% of you will want to know what’s going on but please understand that I’m hoping this is behind me quickly & I don’t want to ‘feed’ it by giving it more attention than is required. I will say that there is no known threat to my physical safety or property.

To the person who is trying to cause trouble: you are wasting time & energy you could be putting toward something more positive. You only have one life, do you really want it to be about trying to bring someone else grief?

You’re also wasting your time with me. I have been a resourceful and highly adaptable survivor my whole life. Whatever the worst possible thing is you think you could do to me would still be easy for me to overcome. I am a lot more than Mistress T. Before I was Mistress T I had a whole other successful life. As Mistress T I have a variety of revenue streams. I can change focus without skipping a beat. If the day comes that I decide to retire Mistress T I will still have plenty of options. I have been strategic & planned for pretty much any possibility.

You may not have covered your tracks as well as you think but I would let it go at this point if it ends now. Karma is a bitch & you get from life what you give. The hippie in me really believes that. So, take the high road. You have to look at yourself in the mirror.

The Hangover Heaven Experience!

My recent trip to Vegas as was so eventful I’ll have several blog posts to cover all the action. I’m starting with the end, for no particular reason.

My last morning in Vegas I filmed this vid of myself & Meggerz trying out the Hangover Heaven service. They come to your hotel room (if you want) & give you an IV drip of fluids to hydrate you & get you back on your feet. We loved it! Vegas, seriously…

Ceara & I enjoying the spa.

I’ve been in Vegas for a couple of days now, sharing a posh hotel room with Ceara Lynch & attending workshops/networking events at a business conference.

No strippers, no gambling, no drinking, nothing crazy. Not yet anyway. The week is only just beginning and as the days pass more & more of my beloved peers will be pouring into Vegas for the AVN/AEE (porn convention). It’s probably going to get messy.

For now, it’s all business. It has been an interesting experience. Female business owners in the adult world are the minority. A few times we have been the only females in the room learning about ways to grow our businesses. Today we attended a women’s brunch. There were about a dozen of us…with hundreds of attendees at this convention that gives you some indication of the small percentage of females.

As things were winding down today we took some time to enjoy the spa. We’ve also squeezed in a little filming & lots of quality time connecting. It’s been great so far. We’ve learned a lot, made some good connections & had a nice time.

Looking ahead at the week I have a fairly busy schedule with filming & partying (schmoozing & business networking with booze & music really)…but I have been careful to leave time to relax, go to the spa & be spontaneous. I’m looking forward to it.

To Be Accepted

I’ve written about not being accepted. This post is about the flip side, the joy in being accepted.

I’ve recently been reading a biography of a gay porn star & his trials in finding a partner who was accepting of his career. Although I’ve met quite a few gals in the business who have amazing partners, there’s some of us who have had more challenges in our relationships. The biz is often the obstacle, the non-starter for many men.

I have someone in my life now who not only accepts me as I am but celebrates it & shares it. That’s a first for me.

He had been familiar with my Mistress T vids & then we met through a friend several years ago. I treated him as a slave boy, which he liked. Eventually we became friends and gradually (the last several months) more.

Happy New Year!

It’s the 1st day of the new year & I feel an appropriate blog post would be a ‘highlights of 2013’ post or something timely…but ya know what? I don’t have it in me to do an epic post today. How are YOU feeling today? Did you have a big night last night? Have you had a lot going on in the last couple weeks? If so, you’ll understand why this post will be fairly brief.
