My birthday is tomorrow, Apr 29. I’ll be 41. So what’s it like aging in the adult industry?

I really don’t know? My heart is still in it but when is the tipping point when I’m no longer a ‘hot MILF’ but I’ve gone ‘past my expiry date’? Of course I want to end on a high note & not drag things out to the point of embarrassment. I know I’m not near that yet but geez, ya know what I mean?

The book I’ve been writing is about my life. It’s been amazing working with my editor, going back through & discussing details of various chapters of my story. Seeing how events & experiences shaped who I am. Some pleasant, some not, but it all contributed. I hoped to have the book done in my 40th year & although that didn’t happen, the majority of the work on it happened in my 40th year & it will be done long before my 42nd.

Turning back toward aging in this industry…it’s amazing actually. In the real world as I start to become invisible…as I’m overlooked by more men, I am becoming more desirable to certain fans. Sex Workers: Now Available In Human Form!

I just read this great article “What It’s Like To Be A Mom & A Sex Worker”:

I wanted to share it as a nod to the women I know in the industry who are mom’s & I really wanted men to read it as yet another way to humanize sex workers.

I write often in my blog about the objectification of women & how important it is to educate & remind people that sex workers are multi-dimensional beings with lives outside of sex work, with hopes & fears, dreams & disappointments, quirks, families, friends, hobbies, feelings, etc. Yup, even that ‘cum-dumpster’ you just jerked off to who took a load of cum on her face while getting fucked in the ass…has a whole life outside of your fantasy. Stigma. That word. I’m really sick of it to be honest. Thankfully I mostly don’t care what people think about me in that regard, but on the list of downsides of this occupation “stigma” is the top of the list. The more the world hears & sees sex workers when they’re not doing sex work the more informed people become & the more we can reduce stigma. It’s not easy tho & most don’t want to expose themselves. Most of the women I know in the industry who have kids are careful to hide the fact they have kids from their clients & they are even more careful to keep those who know they have kids from finding out about their profession. The 2 things don’t mix well…but I’ll pull the curtain back & tell you that there’s a hell of a lot of women in the industry who have kids & there’s a hell of a lot of mom’s that are doing sex work. Sex workers who are parents could be excellent secret agents, living double lives, telling lies & keeping secrets. I hope some day it all doesn’t have to be like that.

It explores some really tough topics that young adults struggle with: bullying, suicide, consent/rape, objectification & how to support young people who are struggling with some of these issues. So although this is particularly pertinent for young adults or the parents of young adults I think anyone would get a lot out of this. Especially the parts about objectifying women in small ways that add up to a bigger problem. It’s easy to think that one comment or incident is no big deal but seeing over the series how little things accumulated…I won’t ruin it for you, but I hope this series becomes required watching & is discussed in classrooms. People need to understand the consequences of their actions, men in particular in this regard (sexual objectification of women) & women need to learn how to better advocate for themselves.

Book update…

Some of you know that I’ve been working on a book for the last year. The mostly done manuscript (1st draft of the book) was delivered to the editor the end of December. I knew it would take her a few months to go through it so I’ve just been waiting.

I wasn’t sure what to expect. I wrote the story in such a way that I thought she might want to rearrange things to make the story arc more compelling. Being my first time I figured that there would be a lot of changes.

We had a meeting the end of last week & it went really well. Far better than I could have dreamed. Not only was she very complimentary, she’s actually reducing her fee by a 3rd based on how little work she’s actually going to need to do on the book. That’s how I know she isn’t just blowing smoke up my ass, she really does think it is great as it is. Of course there is still work to do. We’re going to meet a couple times a week & chip away at the fine details. Things she feels need to be expanded on, etc. I also didn’t have an ending but discussed my ideas with her & we agreed on how it should go. I need to write that part but in the meantime we’ll work on the rest together.

I’m beyond excited & relieved. I feared that she would come back with it all torn apart & barely resembling what I created. I’m paying her to help me make the end result great, not just to stroke my ego. I wasn’t prepared for her to love it so much & to say that it actually didn’t need that much work. We even discussed a potential spin off series…but let’s get this one birthed first.

I can’t give you an ETA. Maybe a few months? As we’re wrapping up I’ll be working with a designer & marketing company to move it through the next steps. I’ll be self publishing. I also plan to have an audio book narrated by me, of course.

New Tricks?

My closest friends are the most shocked to see me in the kitchen. It isn’t that I didn’t know how to cook at all, I could make basic things. I just didn’t cook. You would never catch me hosting a dinner party. My fridge was mostly empty except for booze, mix, ketchup & take out left overs. I’ve always eaten pretty healthy. I rarely had greasy fast food, pizza or junk…I liked sushi, thai food, salads, etc.

I worked from home a lot so I liked to get out of the house for a break & eating out became a convenient habit. It was an opportunity to socialize with friends, go for a walk, combine eating with running errands.

When my partner & I started dating nearly two years ago he wanted to cook for me but was hobbled by my limited kitchen. I added useful things to my wish list like frying pans, a pressure cooker, etc. With these new tools he made me food like nothing I’d ever experienced. It was DELICIOUS, nutritious & vegan. I started watching him cook, then I started to help. I was curious. I wanted to learn how to do it too.

I soon mastered a couple of his signature dishes & got a thrill from adjusting the ingredients here & there to play with the flavors. I would make big pots of soups & freeze individual servings so on busy days I could just pull out a jar & defrost it. My freezer no longer only contained ice cubes!

I wanted to learn more & started searching vegan recipes on the internet. I stumbled across posts from The Thug Kitchen & put their cook book on my wish list. After receiving it & trying some of the recipes I was a woman obsessed! I needed an immersion blender for some things so put it on my wish list. I also added crushed tomatoes, coconut milk, quinoa, brown rice, coconut oil & jars to hold my creations.

I even make my own vegi broth & hot sauce now! I use my own tahini sauce on vegi hash instead of ketchup. I pre-soak & pre-cook dried chickpeas & black beans to use in my recipes. I could go on & on.

I wouldn’t call my food gourmet, but it’s healthy as hell, yummy & comforting. I never thought I would get so excited about cooking & neither would my friends. I even have a mug that says “Domestically Disabled” on it that everyone laughs at.

It has been a team effort & the fans who have sent & continue to send all the helpful things from my wish list are part of that team. I understand some fans would rather buy me lingerie, sexy shoes or luxury items but these practical things send a message that you care about the real, every-day me.

So here’s a few snaps I took while cooking a big pot of lentil soup tonight. Don’t turn up your nose, it’s so full of flavor the last thing you would register is ‘lentils’. I also guarantee you wouldn’t care that there’s no meat in it.

Tonight’s soup is lentil with a peanut sauce (also includes squash, cauliflower, yam, carrots, onions, crushed tomatoes, garlic, ginger, vegi broth, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, tamari sauce, a bit of tamarind…I think that’s it. I kind of made this one up & it’s fucking delicious! Peanut butter…who woulda thunk it?!) That’s the immersion blender in my hand & the pressure cooker in the back ground. They both get well used.

If you’re interested in reducing or eliminating animal products from your diet I strongly recommend the Thug Kitchen cook book. There’s lots of curse words which is fun & they really make it easy for those new to cooking. Beyond just following recipes for specific dishes I’ve learned how to feed myself practically in a bunch of different ways.

Eat like you give a fuck. Best fucking cook book ever. Fuck yeah. Lots of curse words:-)

Omega Males + Feminism

I read two different articles today that inspired me to write this blog post.

The first one is about a new term for me: “Omega Male” in relation to “Alpha Male”. Most of us are familiar with the term “Alpha Male”, especially when it comes to cuckolding fantasies. Back at it full time!

Speaking of patience, I confess that over time mine is wearing thin. I find myself rejecting many requests or just not responding to emails at all. If the guy seems even slightly unhinged, flaky, unable to communicate clearly or annoying in some way…I won’t engage. Life just seems too precious to spend my time having frustrating communications with strangers online. So what can you take away from that? If you’ve sent me an email & I didn’t respond read the auto-response carefully & take another try at sending a well-communicated email. Ensure all pertinent info is there while still being brief & to the point. If you still don’t get a response then move along. Sending a bunch of emails if I haven’t responded will only get your emailed blocked, it won’t get you the attention you’re seeking.

Behind the scenes…

Uh-oh…now I’ve got cum all over my hands…how am I going to turn the camera off?

Do you ever wonder what the story is with the guys I film with? Do you wonder what happens before & after the scene is filmed? Do you wonder what gets edited out?

I do pretty much all of my filming in Vancouver, Canada. In this city we don’t have a thriving porn production industry, which means we don’t have a roster of professional adult film performers to hire like in LA.

Every guy I film with has his own unique story. It’s never: “I hired him through his agent.”

Some of the guys have been my personal lovers who have been excited by the idea of performing in a porn scene. A few have been private clients. I’ve met guys thru the local fetish scene. Some guys only do one scene because they can’t perform ‘under pressure’ or they’re from out of town. Others stay longer, some for years & dozens of scenes. Some come & go depending on their travel schedule, relationship status or any number of reasons.

Here’s how it typically goes with most of my current film guys:

I have everything ready before he arrives, the set, lights, camera, my outfit, props, lube, etc. He comes in, we chat for a minute, I tell him what we’re going to be filming, he showers, we film it, then if he has time we sit down for a cup of tea or a glass of water & have a longer chat. I’m quite friendly with most of my film guys so I really enjoy the time to connect after the scene has wrapped.

It’s all very civilized really. I try to keep things very low-stress & enjoyable.

Note that it’s just the two of us (unless there’s three of us in the scene, like cuckolding). No camera operator or other people. I’ve been on larger production film sets with a ‘crew’ & I prefer the intimacy of just us. It means I do everything (moving the camera or lights around in the middle of a scene, for example) but that’s okay, I’m used to it.

What hits the editing room floor? (So to speak)

The beginning of the scene that you don’t see is sometimes me staring into the lens trying to come up with a story line. It’s true, I don’t always know what I’m going to say even a moment before I film. Sometimes I’m waiting for the guys dick to get fully erect before I start the scene. Sometimes I’m greasing up my feet, ass, boobs or whatever with coconut oil. I might be giving last minute instructions to the guy, like keep his head down out of frame, try to not breath too heavy if he’s near the mic, etc. So I cut the first few minutes out usually.

In the middle of the scene I may cut out bad audio, like loud noises from outside, me running to get more lube, me clearing my throat, me tripping over a word & saying the line over again, me checking with the guy to make sure he’s okay…most often it’s me moving the camera & lighting around during the scene since there’s no one else to do it. Sometimes if the guy is taking a long time to cum I edit out a few minutes of me just stroking his dick.

At the end of the scene the parts I cut out are actually the parts I’d love to leave in. The funniest stuff happens then. The guy has cum, the scene is done & there’s splooge all over the place. Half the time I forget to plan for this (when will I learn?) & I’m awkwardly trying to turn the camera off with the one clean finger I have, or my nose or elbow.
