New digs: more space for film sets!

It’s the Saturday night before Halloween, arguably the biggest party night of the year next to New Year’s. Every year that I can remember I would have been getting all decked out in a costume with friends, having drinks & heading to some big party.

But not this year.

It’s not that I didn’t have options. Weeks ago friends were reminding me to get tickets to the big fetish party or sex club party as they always sell out fast. I was invited to go to Seattle to meet up with some of my fav peers in the industry. I even realized this morning that there’s a fantastic house party just a 26 minute walk from my place, I wouldn’t even need to figure out transportation. It couldn’t be easier.

But I’m not going out. I’m watching a couple episodes of Fargo on Netflix & going to bed early. Hopefully the firecrackers aren’t too bad around here tonight.

When I get that pang of feeling like I’m missing out it’s quickly followed by a feeling of exhaustion & the idea of socializing seems like torture. Not the kind of torture some of you lot like: Tsk tsk.

You see, it’s been a busy time. It IS a busy time. And taking some down time tonight is self care. I probably wouldn’t have done it a few years ago but I’m 41, I’m starting to be nicer to myself & frankly, I don’t have the energy I once did. I bet a lot of you get that, at least those over 35.

So why am I so busy? I recently moved. Everyone knows what that’s like. It all happened kind of fast. My landlord was selling the apartment I’d lived in the last few years & my noisy upstairs neighbor was driving me nuts. I found another place that was really great & I just did it. I did it even though I knew it would be hard. I knew it would be hard because the new place needs a lot of work & I’m about to head out of town on a couple big personal trips. Some of you might know about Africa in December, but I’m also doing a personal trip to Mexico in November. These trips were planned long before I even thought about moving.

Everything is fine. Great really. Just a lot on my plate right now. Some of that has been to prepare to take another break from the biz to work on the book. I find it difficult to write while I have my “Mistress T” hat on so most of my writing has been done while taking work breaks for a month or two. My editor & I have been working away on the book for months but now it’s time for me to dig into her edits, flesh out a few parts & put the finishing touches on it. I’m really hoping that my time in Mexico will be good for that because I really want to get this damn book done!

Good news for fans of my vids. I’ve been busy the last few months filming some fantastic content for you. I was going over the upcoming list today & I’m really excited. Rivers of cum will be produced because of my vids in the coming months. Ha ha.

I’ve been getting my new sets ready so I can start filming when I’m back in January. For long time observant fans you’ll notice the shift in me finally letting other people help me. I did everything myself for so long. Control freak. Hiring experts to do things better than I could, hiring people to do things I could but things that aren’t the best use of my time, accepting the help from friends when it’s offered…all of that. Old dog, new tricks.

I jumped out of a perfectly good airplane!

One of my bucket list items in my 40th year was to skydive. I finally got to do it last week, a couple months after my 41st birthday. I went with a couple of my favorite people & it will be a wonderful memory to share.

Am I an adrenaline junkie? I don’t know. I went on BIG roller coasters for the first time when I was about 18. I loved it & have been on a lot of those types of rides over the years. I bungee jumped only once in my early 20’s & hated every minute of it until it was over. I loved the rush but never did it again. I’ve white water rafted, jumped off high cliffs & gone very fast as a passenger on motorbikes, all felt too dangerous. If there is a real threat to my life I like it less than the safer thrills like roller coasters. I also loved paragliding & parasailing. So I figured skydiving tandem (attached to a professional) would be good. It would be safe but thrilling.

I was right. Though if he hadn’t shoved us out the door of that plane there is no way I would have gone. I was utterly terrified as he slid me closer to the door. It’s a shame that I had such equipment failure as you can’t really see my reaction which was complete short-circuited terror. It was sensory overload & for a split second I slammed my eyes shut because I could not handle it but realizing I was going to lose my gear if I didn’t grab it kind of brought me back to reality. And reality was hard & fast. It’s amazing, adrenaline. It gives you laser focus. You are not thinking about anything else, you are completely in the moment. To quiet the chatter of the monkey mind even for a minute is so refreshing.

Aging In The Adult Industry

My birthday is tomorrow, Apr 29. I’ll be 41. So what’s it like aging in the adult industry?

A recent meeting with my financial advisor, he posed the usual questions which were mathematical to him but personal to me: “How much longer do you think you’ll make this income? When will you need to start drawing on your investments? Etc.”

I really don’t know? My heart is still in it but when is the tipping point when I’m no longer a ‘hot MILF’ but I’ve gone ‘past my expiry date’? Of course I want to end on a high note & not drag things out to the point of embarrassment. I know I’m not near that yet but geez, ya know what I mean?

In writing this I did some research on Bettie Page. I thought that she had at one point decided to retire, maybe in her mid 30’s & had never let another photograph be taken of her. The book I’ve been writing is about my life. It’s been amazing working with my editor, going back through & discussing details of various chapters of my story. Seeing how events & experiences shaped who I am. Some pleasant, some not, but it all contributed. I hoped to have the book done in my 40th year & although that didn’t happen, the majority of the work on it happened in my 40th year & it will be done long before my 42nd.

Turning back toward aging in this industry…it’s amazing actually. In the real world as I start to become invisible…as I’m overlooked by more men, I am becoming more desirable to certain fans. New Tricks?

This post is pretty clean. Bad news for those looking for jerk off material. Good news for those wanting to get to know me more intimately. This is soap from my wish list, sent by a loving fan:-)

Maybe you can teach an old dog new tricks. The last year I’ve been really into cooking & this post is to thank the fans who have helped. I’ll get to that. A little back story first.

My closest friends are the most shocked to see me in the kitchen. It isn’t that I didn’t know how to cook at all, I could make basic things. I just didn’t cook. You would never catch me hosting a dinner party. My fridge was mostly empty except for booze, mix, ketchup & take out left overs. I’ve always eaten pretty healthy. I rarely had greasy fast food, pizza or junk…I liked sushi, thai food, salads, etc.

I worked from home a lot so I liked to get out of the house for a break & eating out became a convenient habit. It was an opportunity to socialize with friends, go for a walk, combine eating with running errands.

When my partner & I started dating nearly two years ago he wanted to cook for me but was hobbled by my limited kitchen. I added useful things to my wish list like frying pans, a pressure cooker, etc. With these new tools he made me food like nothing I’d ever experienced. It was DELICIOUS, nutritious & vegan. I started watching him cook, then I started to help. I was curious. I wanted to learn how to do it too.

I soon mastered a couple of his signature dishes & got a thrill from adjusting the ingredients here & there to play with the flavors. I would make big pots of soups & freeze individual servings so on busy days I could just pull out a jar & defrost it. My freezer no longer only contained ice cubes!

I wanted to learn more & started searching vegan recipes on the internet. I stumbled across posts from The Thug Kitchen & put their cook book on my wish list. After receiving it & trying some of the recipes I was a woman obsessed! I needed an immersion blender for some things so put it on my wish list. I also added crushed tomatoes, coconut milk, quinoa, brown rice, coconut oil & jars to hold my creations.

I even make my own vegi broth & hot sauce now! I use my own tahini sauce on vegi hash instead of ketchup. I pre-soak & pre-cook dried chickpeas & black beans to use in my recipes. I could go on & on.

I wouldn’t call my food gourmet, but it’s healthy as hell, yummy & comforting. I never thought I would get so excited about cooking & neither would my friends. I even have a mug that says “Domestically Disabled” on it that everyone laughs at.

It has been a team effort & the fans who have sent & continue to send all the helpful things from my wish list are part of that team. I understand some fans would rather buy me lingerie, sexy shoes or luxury items but these practical things send a message that you care about the real, every-day me.

So here’s a few snaps I took while cooking a big pot of lentil soup tonight. Don’t turn up your nose, it’s so full of flavor the last thing you would register is ‘lentils’. I also guarantee you wouldn’t care that there’s no meat in it.

Tonight’s soup is lentil with a peanut sauce (also includes squash, cauliflower, yam, carrots, onions, crushed tomatoes, garlic, ginger, vegi broth, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, tamari sauce, a bit of tamarind…I think that’s it. I kind of made this one up & it’s fucking delicious! Peanut butter…who woulda thunk it?!) That’s the immersion blender in my hand & the pressure cooker in the back ground. They both get well used.

If you’re interested in reducing or eliminating animal products from your diet I strongly recommend the Thug Kitchen cook book. There’s lots of curse words which is fun & they really make it easy for those new to cooking. Beyond just following recipes for specific dishes I’ve learned how to feed myself practically in a bunch of different ways.

Eat like you give a fuck. Best fucking cook book ever. Fuck yeah. Lots of curse words:-)

Honorable mention goes to my Vega powder, vegan protein powder & basically a multi-vitamin which I have for breakfast every day. I’ve been drinking this for years & love it. It’s on my wish list if you want to send something you know I will super appreciate.

Omega Males + Feminism

I read two different articles today that inspired me to write this blog post.

The first one is about a new term for me: “Omega Male” in relation to “Alpha Male”. Most of us are familiar with the term “Alpha Male”, especially when it comes to cuckolding fantasies. Back at it full time!

I am back into the swing of things after taking some time off. I’ve filmed a few times in the last couple of weeks so I figured I should formally announce that & provide updated info for those who want to serve me.

So what can you take away from that? If you’ve sent me an email & I didn’t respond read the auto-response carefully & take another try at sending a well-communicated email. Ensure all pertinent info is there while still being brief & to the point. If you still don’t get a response then move along. Sending a bunch of emails if I haven’t responded will only get your emailed blocked, it won’t get you the attention you’re seeking.

It must be acknowledged that at this time I have the best group of generous, low-maintenance, lovely slaves I’ve ever had. They make my life easier & more joyful. What’s happening?

I’m sure you’re all dying to know what’s going on in my world so here’s the update.

The book is humming along. I’ve been writing & researching how to self publish/figuring out next steps. I met with a potential editor but it wasn’t the right fit so the search continues. I’m being very particular about who I work with on this project. I have a budget to hire experts but I also want to enjoy working with them.

I took a little road trip to Vegas to hike around Red Rock & the Valley of Fire with my pal Princess Meggerz for her birthday (Find more about her here: http://meggerz.com/). Beautiful nature around Vegas for those who think it’s just a party town.

I love road tripping, especially now in my recently acquired camper van with my boyfriend. I love finding random places to pull over & sleep. One night we tucked in behind an old fire station in a tiny ghost mining town between Vegas & Portland. The view in the morning was charming.

I’m back in Vancouver now writing for the next few weeks. My goal is to finish my manuscript before I head to Guatemala for Xmas with Ceara & Meg.

I have long overnight layovers in Miami, Florida on both ends of that trip & would consider dinner dates or breakfast dates with fans. I prefer more casual, social meet ups rather than structured, professional sessions. Plus I won’t be traveling with any equipment. Some misguided critter recently tried to shame or insult me by calling me an escort. I would have been more insulted if they had accused me of being the kind of person who would try to shame someone for being an escort.

Over the last 12 years I have been a stripper, a Professional Dominatrix, a cam girl, an escort & fetish model/performer/porn star. I’ve done phone sex, I’ve done my version of a peep show or voyeur show, masturbated for money, done girl-girl shows, sold cuckolding sessions where a guy paid to lick another man’s cum from my pussy, I’ve spat my boyfriends cum into a guy’s mouth for $1000, I’ve had sex for money, I’ve done shows & lap dances at bachelor parties, I’ve done topless poker dealing, topless bartending & sold tequila shooters naked on a clothing optional beach…I’m sure I missed a few things I’ve done for money using my body & sexuality….but you get the idea.

And I’m not ashamed of any of it.

It’s my body, my life, my choices.

I decide from one day to the next what I feel comfortable doing with my body. It has evolved over the years, but I regret nothing & have no hesitation in asserting my boundaries, whatever they are that day.

I do not buy into the BS hierarchy of adult industry workers. Strippers thinking they’re better than escorts because they don’t have sex with their customers, FinDom’s or non-nude fetish models thinking they’re better than those who get naked, phone sex or cam girls thinking they’re better than others for whatever reasons. Sometimes ladies in this industry can be pretty judgey considering how harshly we’re all judged by people in the vanilla world. Some lump us all together & at best they think some kinds of work are at least not ‘as bad’ as others. Even if we’re accepted & supported by our loved ones in our choices, no one prays that their little girl will grow up to be a sex worker & most won’t brag about it. The whole adult industry is stigmatized.

Women have been using their bodies & sexuality to make money for a very long time in a lot of different ways, not just in adult work. Some do it because they want to & they like it, they find it empowering, some do it for money, sometimes both. It does nothing to benefit anyone to try to shame women for it. If most men could do it they would & I doubt they would have any shame about it.

What people choose to do for work does not define who they are or all that they are. Women in the adult industry are also mothers, daughter, sisters, friends, animal lovers, Trekkies, gamers, teachers, foodies, therapists, painters, swimmers, pilots, volunteers, writers, sports fans, musicians, travelers, gamblers, sexual assault survivors, recovering alcoholics..they might be struggling with mental illness, mourning the death of a loved one, be fighting a legal battle with an ex, be caring for an elderly family member, be dealing with PTSD, be studying to get a new job outside of the industry, be working toward a personal goal or be helping someone else to get in or out of the industry…I could go on & on because every woman doing adult work has a story, a unique personality & a life beyond her job.

So, keep this in mind the next time you find yourself or hear someone else judging, objectifying or shaming a person in the adult industry.

Book update…

Some of you know that I took a few months off last winter to start writing a book. I went to Thailand & made quite a lot of progress before my trip was cut short & I needed to return to Nova Scotia due to a death in the family.

I still had some time to write back in Vancouver before I got back to filming & editing but after that my writing got stalled. I thought I could work & write but it didn’t turn out that way. Months went by & I didn’t write a word. So I pushed to build up enough content so I could take a few months off from filming & editing again.

I’m about half way through my second & current break & I’m pleased to say that I’ve been writing like a mother fucker! I’ve made huge progress & am in the last end of the first draft of my book. There’s still a lot of work to be done before you will have an opportunity to read my book but the hardest part is nearly done.

The book is a ‘fiction’ based very closely on my life. VERY closely. It tells the story of the making of Mistress T from the beginning, from before I was even born actually. All the ingredients that went into the final product. Those with interests in psychology will likely find lots to think about. I wanted to have the freedom to embellish or omit things here & there as well as add a bit of creative writing (completely fabricate some parts) so I decided to not make it an autobiography…but again, the vast majority of the story is 100% true.

Now that it’s nearing the end my excitement is really building. I decided to write this book for me, to process some of the things that happened to me in earlier life & understand how they contributed, for better or worse, to the adult I am. I saw writing as a kind of therapy. Now that it is taking shape & I’ve spoken to a handful of experts, it’s possible that this book could become quite successful…which would be a nice bonus.

I’ll soon hire an editor & others to help move through the next steps. I’ll likely self publish but will still need a team of professionals to assist with the process, a designer, a good marketing company, a studio to record an audio book, etc. I am starting to look for the right people & companies so if you have recommendations please send them my way. (I am looking for those top in their field & I have a budget for it.)

Though I should have enough content to get me through I want a bit more of a cushion so I will be doing a couple days of filming in the next couple weeks.
